Your Community Needs You!!
Will You Answer The Call??
Volunteer first responders help their fellow citizens in times of need. Volunteers enjoy a sense of accomplishment, achievement, and pride in the work they do. You’d learn new skills, make new friends, be a part of a team, give back to the community, and make a real difference.
As a volunteer firefighter, you’re not only in service of the community, but also a more visible member of the community. This means the work that your fire department does in the community directly impacts the people you know and work with daily. This will give your work a stronger sense of purpose and have a positive impact on those in your life.
Saving lives and serving people is the basis of virtually everyone’s entry into the public safety. As a volunteer, you will get to do this on a daily basis. You’ll have a part-time contribution and a community of peers you can truly be proud of and fulfilled by.

For All Emergencies
While specific duties may vary from state to state and from town to town, many of a volunteer firefighter's duties are the same as those performed by a career firefighter. Even though volunteer firefighters do not live and work in a firehouse like career firefighters, they carry out the same kinds of emergency response duties and non-emergency tasks.

For All Emergencies
Junior Firefighting serves as a means of personal development for today's youth.
Junior firefighter programs give young people the chance to learn about local fire, rescue, and emergency medical services response organizations in a safe, controlled, educational, and fun way. Reaching out to people when they are young has long-range effects, and encouraging youth to take part in the emergency services is extremely beneficial to local communities.
For Traffic Control
Fire Police are an integral part of the emergency services. Fire Police are in charge of protecting the communities first responders as well as the general public during emergency incidents. Fire Police perform traffic control at fires, car crashes, drills and other fire department operations. Often first on scene, fire police are able to report status, suspicious cause & origin and mark the location of the structure, driveway, apartment entrance, etc. for first due companies.
Business Members are casual, station-based volunteers who respond to Emergency Situations, Public Relation Events, etc, when the demand arises. As a business member you will be an integral part of the department. Whether it be bringing water, coffee, additional equipment to an emergency scene or helping with a community event, our Business Members are crucial to the department. This is also an excellent way to become a volunteer and be involved in your community without the physical demand that may be involved with other job duties.
